The story of King Midas. With a young girl instead of Midas, and tomato soup instead of gold.
I was slowly getting the hang of perspective by now, even if the faces are still a little wonky and it was still going to take a few years before I could draw a convincing dog. I'd also discovered that thinning Windor and Newton inks with distilled water stops them coagulating horribly. Consequently the colours are a little more muted than the colours in Gilbert, but there are no horrible dark clots in the corners...
